Los Angeles, here I come!

I went for a fun play time in Los Angeles for a long weekend. It very dark and cold here in Norway and I needed some sunshine on my face, which I got!

Early, very early up on Thursday. Mostly because I hadn’t finished packing and decided on what to bring. I knew some of my plans, but not all and need a little wiggle room in my outfits. As always I brought a few things I just didn’t end up wearing, but also too many shoes…

I was planning for two photo shoots and different outfits for both, but also different day time and evening wear for things that might happen! So a huge suitcase later I was all set.

Its a picture blog, I guess, so here we go! My journey from snowy home, wet airport to sunny delicious LA, a glass of wine and a fluffy dog.

I have a few selfie spots. First is the elevator at my apartment building, but the second is next to all the Kate Spade at the airport <3

I prefer travelling in my normal everyday vintage style. Started my journey with my cape, bought at my last trip to LA in November, a vintage 40s jacket, blouse and skirt. Topped with a little vintage hat magic. I was asked a few times during my trip if I was an Swiss Air stewardess, which I only take as a compliment, since not many others wear hats today.
I have learnt from previous flights that don’t attempt stockings and longline bras unless you like to undress for strangers. Which I sometimes forget, but not this time.

A whole lot of luggage. A little airplane. Got seated next to a lovely family planning their “winter vacation” and I got to tell them “all” of my LA and Vegas suggestions for a fun time. So after talks, sleeping, eating, trying to get drunk and sleep more, we finally arrived at least one hour before scheduled arrival.

Entered LAX, got my bags and then took a Lyft to my friends house and to finally meet fluffy old Cash (dog). After 15h travel from door to door, my makeup still looked pretty good. I did reapply my lipstick ones during the flight, but the rest stayed put!  It only took me like 1,5 glasses of wine before I was falling asleep mid conversation, so I got to bed early to get ready for my fun Friday!
