Shooting, eating and drinking

Another day of blissful sunshine in Los Angeles. Must admit I did my makeup in bed, again, as I am a comfort creature and will stay in bed for as long as I can. Also the last full day in LA, so I was determined to make it a good one!

My only daytime plans was to have a little photo shoot with SpikeMarble. He said he could pick me up at the house, so another very comfortable way to start the day! I got dressed and brushed my hair and had a nice relaxing time outside amazed by blue skies just passing time and enjoying _again_ sunshine. I don’t know how many times I just enjoyed sunshine on this trip.

We drove through the LA traffic to reach our goal at Union Station. We tied to get some shots with few people around, so I wandered into some closed off spaces before the security guards got the chance to tell me off – which they did a few times. I didn’t really see the harm in standing behind a rope, but apparently that was not allowed. We did still manage to get some amazing shots here and you can find some photos at my portfolio page!

We drove further into traffic, I got a wardrobe change in their restroom and walked around Clifton’s Republic for some photos. I do enjoy going here to eat too, as they have a great cantina. This time we settled for drinks as a prop for the rest of our shoot. We were hoping for the tiki room to be open, as I hadn’t been in there yet, but alas. Next time I hope! I did get a chance to say I to my favourite lion.

Another wardrobe change, and this time in the parking garage. When we arrived in this garage a few guys were having a pre-party with some booze and I was relieved to see they had moved on while we were at Clifton’s. It was a super quick change and I didn’t flash anyone, I promise.  We walked up to the wonderful Bradbury Building, to have a sneaky photo shoot inside, but they had closed for the day. So we did a few in the street and random cool things we found on our way. We then grabbed a little food at Cole’s. And again, the day ended in a completely different outfit than I started in. Success! From long evening gown, to even more stunning evening gown, I dressed down to skirt and blouse (which I had bought at Paper Moon Vintage just the day before!)

We stopped at The Line Hotel for a drink before Spike had to head off to his next photo shoot and I was heading for dinner and an UnCabaret show with another friend. The show was much fun and the food at AuLac was really, really good! Another Vegan day with great success! While we had dinner a little impromptu musical jam was going on that the whole restaurant enjoyed. Actor Craig Robinson was playing the piano and singing and, man – can he play the piano or what! There was also a saxophone guy jamming too, and eventually there was a sing-along with the whole restaurant <3

The night ended with some more music in the back yard and drinking even more wine into the early morning hours. It was after all my last night in LA, so why not stay up and have a great time. I planned to sleep aaaall the way home the next day anyway.

Yours,

Georgie
