Returning home

It came to an end, rather too quickly. But then again I knew it was only a short while until my next trip to LA and to Vegas.

It was only fitting it was the last day due to the weather not being as nice as the other days. Last night it was getting cold sitting outside, so I had been huddling under a few blankets. And this day was not very different. When I tried to sit outside to relax, I needed a huge blanket and a cup of coffee to keep warm.

Got dressed, put on makeup (in bed, of course). Packed my bags, got all my shopping in. I had brought some stuff with me to the US I wasn’t bringing home, so I had a spacious suitcase with room for all my new acquires 🙂

Lounged around the house, got to the post office to mail some stuff away and just let time pass. Waiting game had begun, because packing took a lot less time then I thought. Spent some with with Cash the fluffy good and Jenni.

It hadn’t really any point in making big plans for this Sunday, so we sat around and ate some sushi. I was leaving the house by 2pm in order to make it to LAX by 4pm and had my Lyft arriving on time. I got there safe and sound in good time after spending my ride in the excellent LA traffic talking with my Lyft driver. I will admit I don’t always like talking in Lyft and Ubers, but this time around all my drivers had been great conversationists.

My travel outfit was a knitted green skirt and sweater set with gold trims. I had just bought this the other day at Paper Moon Vintage, and it was soooo comfortable to travel in. Paired with a vintage belt and a dragonfly brooch from Garment. My waves didn’t look that good this morning, so it got turned into a braid.

Through security with no issue, stopped to buy something to drink and to fulfil my Twizzler need. I always buy one bag or more of red Twizzlers leaving the US. If I start eating it on the flight its gone before I land again, but if I am able to save it…

I got food pretty early on my flight, because I’ve learnt that if you order anything other than the included mean, like vegetarian or gluten free, they will feed you first! And everyone around you get really excited for food and get ready – but they have to wait for their ordinary food 🙂 So I can then eat and get a little drink on and sleep earlier than the rest.

And 9 hours later: Oslo Airport.

Walking from passport check to baggage claim like:

I sat waiting for a like half an hour at the airport for my trains, as I just missed it by a few minutes. But I have to change trains to get home and there was sooo many issues with trains this day and mine had an “unknown” arrival time, so I went to Oslo with a few friends for some food and drinks before heading home again. So.. I went from SUN SUN SUN to SNOW SNOW SNOW. I was dressed well enough for the weather. Could probably have had a pair of boots and not heals, but hey. I did not complain 🙂

On my train journey home I did put a few more layers on, like my burgundy jacket. Otherwise it really would have been too cold.

I did manage to save my Twizzlers, mostly because I fell asleep after eating dinner. But yes, my Twizzlers didn’t even last for 10 minutes at home…  This is a instagram Story I shared just before the bag got empty.

Full outfit post from my hallway, ready to jump into bed more or less. I was very cold at this point, and a tiny bit tipsy from dinner and drinks.

And then it was good night! I slept so well that night, really. But I woke up with a cold and the need to go to the office. All good things must come to an end I guess…

Yours,

Georgie
