Vintage wardrobe

Here is the first look at photos from my shoot with Susana Vestige. Our shoot was during Viva Las Vegas this year and I was dying to wear some of my vintage outfits packed for the occasion. The set was perfect, a beautiful midcentury home in Las Vegas.

So yes, why not wear vintage in a midcentury home in Las Vegas? I do not see any problems with that. But I don’t see any problems with wearing vintage like this in general either!

The shoot was with Susana, and she had brought along wonderful makeup artist Nikki Napalm and hair stylist Madison Jane.
I had not worked with any of them before, but I had so much fun with all these talented women. I truly loved both the hair and makeup for this shoot.

This dress was a online purchase from the Facebook Group Ooh La La! I just missed it when it was first sold, and it went to a lovely lady in Australia. The first seller had this dress in her personal collection for 25(!) years. The buyer in Australia decided to resell and I finally got my hands on it! The dress is truly beautiful and worth bringing to a photo shoot!

I went towards a less dressed look as well, showing off a classic Warner’s iconic Merry Widow Cinch-bra Waist Cincher. I might show you some more pictures of this in later posts, as it is absolutely gorgeous. I bought this in the same Ooh La La! Facebook Group. Stockings from What Katie Did.

This 60s gold lurex dream was purchased from carlasuevintage on Etsy, and I fell even more in love with the dress as soon as I got my hands on it. After buying this dress I have a new found taste for gold lurex. It hugs in all the right places. Shoes for this set is Loretta from Miss L-Fire, in the Gold Lurex colour way of course.

With a little mascot in the shape of a dog named Dimsum running around, the shoot was so much fun.

After the shoot I went back to Viva Las Vegas at The Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas, in my Gold Lurex dress and shoes and had a great night with friends there.

Yours,
Georgie
